Little River SC : A Little Town with Big FunWelcome to Little River TV, a weekly series launching soon and streaming on-demand for weekly episodes from Little River, South Carolina.
Due to other multiple projects, we apologize for the delay in official launch - but we want to provide the very best HD video of the people and events in Little River, so we have rescheduled launch for when we can devote the required time to quality production.
Little River has under 8,000 year-round residents, yet our town is unique, historically significant which spread from the pictoresque fishing docks, and serenely enjoyable for those of us blessed enough to call it home.
Little River Blue Crab FestivalOur lovely unincorporated village is situated on the northern end of the Grand Strand, along the North Carolina/South Carolina line, and is known for summer charter fishing and the immensely popular annual Blue Crab Festival, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the historic waterfront area.
Since 1998, Little River has also been known as home to the only two ocean-going Las Vegas-style casino gambling boats in the state of South Carolina.
There are also several top golf courses located in Little River, including Heather Glens and Glen Dornock.
For those who are more physically active, along the banks of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway are seasonal jetski and pontoon rentals.
In an overview of the entire beach area, the 60-mile coastal stretch that's labeled the Grand Strand boasts over a thousand full-service restaurants, including many national and international franchise chains. Dining-wise, what sets Little River apart is its unique, one-of-a-kind, family and and privately-owned restaurants.
And don't let the proximity to Myrtle Beach fool you... Although only about a 30-minute drive from downtown Myrtle Beach, Little river is distinctly different than both Myrtle Beach and its neighbor across the waterway, North Myrtle Beach.
Lying along a waterway instead of the ocean, Little River is much slower paced and more year-round residential than the beach towns.
If you liked the Blue Crab Festival video above, we've also produced another video of the Shrimp and Jazz Festival on youtube.
This is a preview of the sections Little River TV series that'll have hi-def video episodes, streaming weekly, beginning soon.
