May launch set for series

Spring 2008 We've set the soonest launch of the Little River TV series for 2014. We've delayed it due to multiple projects consuming our time and resources, and are launching when we can devote the resources necessary to produce the very best HD series about the people and events in the Little River area.

Gearing up for weekly series

Fall 2008 We're now gearing up for the upcoming episodes of the Little River TV show, an on-demand show that'll have a new episodes on a continual basis.

The show's pilot introduces audiences to its cast, crew, and, of course, Little River, South Carolina.

Subsequent shows will stream each Monday throughout the year.

Is incorporation likely to happen?

Summer 2008 With Blue Crab behind us, the next big thing for our beautiful town is the question of whether or not incorporation makes it onto the November ballot.

That, to our understanding, depends on whether or not the Little River Incorporation Exploratory Committee (no web site, no online information we know of) is able to get the required number of signatures from qualified property owners in the proposed incorporation boundaries.

To provide a place for residents to ask questions and find answers, we've provided a public message board at LittleRiverChat.com.

Little River SC : A Little Town that's Getting Smaller

Spring 2008 The town of Little River, South Carolina, is currently unincorporated, and it's shrinking.

Valuable sections of land on the banks of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway are being annexed by our neighbor across the waterway, the City of North Myrtle Beach.

For natives and long-time residents, life in Little River has changed considerably in the past few years. The once quiet waterfront, home to generations of fishermen, now houses two Las Vegas-style casino gambling boats, transforming the traffic on the surrounding residential streets, twice daily, into what closely resembles NASCAR qualifying.

The businesses along Highway 17 have changed, too. The flashy flourescent lights that characterize Myrtle Beach have been creeping into Little River at an alarming rate.

Where does it end? Without the residents having a strong voice in the shaping of the town, there's no telling...
